El gobierno de Javier Milei oficializó este lunes que el próximo 10 de octubre será feriado a nivel nacional. La medida, publicada en el Boletín Oficial con la firma del jefe de Gabinete, Guillermo Francos, responde al nuevo criterio que permite al Poder Ejecutivo trasladar los feriados que coincidan con fines de semana. La propuesta fue impulsada por la Secretaría de Turismo, Ambiente y Deportes, que argumentó la conveniencia de extender el descanso para estimular la demanda interna y beneficiar a sectores estratégicos de la economía, con el objetivo de generar un mayor impacto positivo en la actividad turística.
Last Monday, the Milei administration officially announced that Friday, October 10 would be a national holiday. This decision, which was published in the Official Gazette with the signature of Guillermo Francos, the Chief of Staff, uses the criteria under which the Executive can move public holidays to create long weekends. According to the Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Sports, the initiative will boost domestic demand and benefit strategic sectors of the economy, in turn contributing to tourism growth.
